The Puppet Show by Patrick Redmond
Michael Turner is still fighting the demons of his childhood. An orphan, he grew up in a maze of institutions and foster homes. All he has ever wanted is to belong. Now in his early twenties, he is at last starting to escape his past. He has the love of his fiancee and is taking the first steps in a promising legal career. And when, unexpectedly, a powerful father figure enters his life, it seems that all his childhood dreams are being realised. But dreams come with a price. A very dangerous cuckoo has been allowed to enter the nest. A cuckoo who is still plagued by his own demons and can manipulate the needs and vulnerabilities of others to dreadful effect.
