Sam Wu Is Not Afraid of Spiders by Katie Tsang
Who's afraid of spiders? NOT SAM WU! In this fourth book in the hilarious series, Sam must conquer his fears and help save the school pet tarantula.
Sam Wu is NOT afraid of anything. Well, maybe some things--like ghosts, sharks . . . and the dark's pretty scary, too. And now he has something new to worry about: Tulip, the big, hairy pet tarantula that lives in the sixth-grade science lab and is coming to visit his class. But Sam can't let anyone know. So when Tulip disappears from her cage, Sam decides it's up to him and his friends to step up, save the school from the eight-legged escapee . . . and prove, once again, that he's no scaredy cat!

Kita Mitchell (Author)
Kita Mitchell wrote and illustrated her first work, Cindersmella, at the age of six. It was cruelly and swiftly rejected by publishers. The sequels, Repunsmell and Mouldilocks, were equally badly received. Disheartened, she turned her attention to making stuff, and, luckily, they did degrees in that. After getting one, she built sets for TV shows - but the feeling she should write funny books for children never went away. Eventually, she decided to have another go. This time, things turned out a little better. Now, she can tell people she is a proper author, which is great. Kita currently lives in Oxfordshire with four daughters and a hamster. Nathan Reed (Illustrator)
Nathan Reed has been a professional illustrator since graduating from Falmouth College of Arts in 2000. Recent books include How to Write Your Best Story Ever and the Marsh Road Mystery Series. His latest picture book written by Angela McAllister, is Samson the Mighty Flea. He was also shortlisted for the Serco Prize for Illustration in 2014. When he's not illustrating he can be found with his two boys and a football on Peckham Rye Common.
