San Duthaich Uir is a story of second generation exile. Anna looks up to both her mother and her Aunt Marguerite although they live very different lives. Her mothers is one of work and duty but Marguerites ways are quite different and Annas father does not approve. Her first collection of short stories, Cainnt na Caileige Caillte, was shortlisted for the Saltire Society's First Book of the Year Award in 2009. Her writing has also been published in The Scotsman, Gath, the Sandstone Review and the second volume of An Claigeann aig Damien Hirst.
