His plays include Boss Grady's Boys, The Steward of Christendom, Our Lady of Sligo, and The Pride of Parnell Street, and his novels, The Whereabouts of Eneas McNulty, Annie Dunne, A Long Long Way, The Secret Scripture and On Canaan's Side.
