Mark de Castrique is the author of The 13th Target, a Washington, DC political thriller, as well as the critically acclaimed Barry Clayton and Sam Blackman mystery series, both set in his home North Carolina's mountains, and mysteries for young adults. He is an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a veteran of the television and film production industries.
