Patrick has worked in a range of creative sectors during his career. He began his career as an performer and vocalist, which led to him designing stage and screen costumes. More than 50 productions and work with superstars such as Liza Minnelli and Jane Seymour are among her costume credentials. Patrick has been an artist and illustrator since he was a child, and he works in a variety of mediums. He never knows what one of his designs will become when he sets down to doodle at the drawing board.

But, whether it's quilts, wearable art, stationery, or home decor, he enjoys doing it all. He is a prolific designer best recognized for his highly successful and long-running fabric collections from Timeless Treasures, Robert Kaufman Fabrics, and Moda, which contain his signature marbleized solids, which are industry trendsetters. Patrick's quilts, crafts, clothes, and home décor accessories have been featured in publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, American Patchwork and Quilting, Country Crafts, Christmas Inspirations, Halloween Tricks & Treats, and many others. He has also appeared on various television shows, including The Carol Duvall Show, Simple Quilts, and America Sews, and has written books on quilting and crafting for C&T Publishing and Sterling Publishing.
