These inspirational teachings on invoking your Higher Self--the I AM Presence--were given to a group of former members of the Saint Germain Foundation. After the ascension of Godfre Ray King, this small group met during the 1940s at a ranch near Santa Rosa, California, to hear the Masters give these discourses. These Masters are beings who once lived on earth but now serve humanity from the realms of Light. Only after thirty years were the notes of these discourses discovered in Mount Shasta in the attic of Pearl Dorris, a former director of the San Francisco I AM Sanctuary. She turned them over to a small group of her students to edit out personal or repetitive material, and finally gave them to Peter Mt. Shasta, one of her closest students, to publish. After being out of print for many years, he has now published this new edition. To those able to tune in to their Inner Self, the power of these discourses is transcendent.

Peter Mt. Shasta is the best-selling author of books on his experiences with the Ascended Masters, and the teachings they have given him on how to contact the I AM Presence within, and invoke it in daily life. Previously he traveled in India, spending time with Ram Dass, Maharajji, Sathya Sai Baba, Anandamayi Ma and other saints. He also studied with the Tibetan Lamas, Trungpa Rinpoche (founder of Shambhala.org) and Chagdud Rinpoche. On his return to the West, Saint Germain materialized before him in a forest near San Francisco, and told him to go to Mount Shasta for further training. There he was brought into contact with Pearl Dorris, a former assistant to Godfre Ray King (author of Unveiled Mysteries, The Magic Presence, and the I AM Discourses), and head of the San Francisco I AM Sanctuary. Through Pearl, he was given advanced training in the I AM teachings and brought into further contact with other Masters. He has recently published a biography of this remarkable woman, Lady Master Pearl, My Teacher. He is also the author of Search for the Guru, Adventures of a Western Mystic, I AM the Open Door, and I AM Affirmations and the Secret of their Effective Use. More recently, having observed the tendency of many spiritual seekers to use spiritual practices in an attempt to bypass the personality, he has been teaching ways to incorporate psychology and meditation into the I AM teachings, toward the attainment of wisdom and mastery in daily life.
