The Sword of Attila by Michael Curtis Ford
On a grassy plan east of Paris, on a sweltering June day, two towering figures of Late Antiquity are to meet in a monumental conflict, an epic battle that will determine the fate of Europe and the course of civilisation itself. The clash at Chalons will pit the fierce and passionate Attila the Hun against Count Aetius, Supreme General of the Armies of the Western Empire, known to history as "the last of the Romans." Bursting with heroic battle scenes and eloquent storytelling, THE SWORD OF ATTILA recounts what some historians have called the most important battle in all history
