Pamela Duncan Edwards grew up in the north of England but now lives in the USA. She is married with two grown-up sons and has a young grandchild. She worked as a children's librarian before becoming a writer and is passionate about the importance of books for children. Georgie Birkett completed her degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at the University of Brighton in 1996. She has since illustrated many books, in various styles, for the educational and young fiction markets, as well as picture books and pre-school novelty books. She lives in East Sussex.
