The Bad Day by Frann Prestongannon

A timely message about the value of collaboration and helping those in need

Squirrel is left hanging when a search for a tasty nut goes wrong. Meanwhile, Bird has his beak buried in a tree trunk, Snake is tied in a knot, Tortoise is upside-down, and Fox? Well, Fox has a suspicious stomachache. These animals are all having a VERY BAD DAY!
But soon it becomes clear that little Mouse is having the worst day of all, and his friends can only help him--and one another--if they work together.

Frann Preston-Gannon is a South London-based illustrator and designer. Vintage Books, Sunday Publishing, the PRCA, Spears Magazine, Pavilion Books, the London Times, and Burt's Bees are among the clients she has worked for since graduating from Kingston University. Her previous picture books, The Journey Home (Pavilion Press) and Dinosaur Farm (Sterling), were both written and illustrated by her. Frann was the first illustrator from outside of the United States to be awarded the renowned Sendak Fellowship. This provided her with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and be inspired by the great artist himself, as well as the opportunity to tour his extensive archives and attend lectures by bright guests.
