Sheryl Webster was born in Liverpool, and studied at Liverpool Hope University, where she gained a BA in Psychology/English Language/Literature. She was formerly a primary school teacher. She is married with four small children. Jan Fearnley studied graphic design in Newcastle and went on to become a primary school teacher. This inspired her to begin writing for children and she is now a highly successful author and illustrator who has won numerous prizes for her work.
