Reshad Feild's over a thousand books, which have been translated into many languages and sold in large quantities, are among the cornerstones of contemporary spiritual thought. Extensive travels took the Englishman over the world; he worked as a Marineoffizier, a Börsenmakler, a Werbefachmann, a Popstar, and an antiquarian. Reshad Feild came into contact with G.I. Joseph's teachings during the course of a life-long adventure, which he describes as a never-ending search for ever finer dimensions of truth and the inner meaning of life. P.D. Gurdjieff and Gurdjieff Ouspensky met with Tibetan Buddhism and its Lamas, American Sioux Indians, and Sufi Shamans and Meisters.

Finally, in his first work, he is depicted in detail. I followed the path of the Derwisch and discovered Reshad Feild's true spiritual teacher, a man with a long Sufi tradition. Reshad Feild spent a total of ten years in the United States before relocating to Switzerland in 1986, where he currently resides. Reshad Feild's books and talks are an invitation to share some of the questions that arise in the minds of true seekers.

They give us a taste of true, everyday freedom and allow us to discover that there is an essential truth that forms the foundation of our existence on Earth, and that true spiritual life is lived here, not in a fantasy country.
