Zusammenfassung

This book forms part of a series of images of Scotland's most beautiful scenery taken by some of its finest photographers. These books are not simply pictures of what we can see from our car window, nor simply misty landscapes but photography which gets to the heart of both the landscape and its human component.

The Trossachs by Alan Wright

Made famous by Sir Walter Scott the Trossachs retains its hold on the Scottish imagination as one of the most romantic areas of the country. With its great hero Rob Roy and its wooded landscape of glens and lochs it is a constantly changing and constantly renewing land and one of the most visited parts of the country. Full of romantic ruins and glorious scenery, this is the first full colour book to focus solely and in depth on this beautiful country.
Allan Wright was born and educated in Glasgow and studied Geology and Geoscience at St Andrews. Following this he worked in Oil Exploration in Aberdeen, Norway, Vietnam, Libya and Bangladesh. Since 1986 he has worked as a freelance photographer and has published postcards, calendars and CD Roms. His books include On the Rigs (written with George Gunn, Keepdate Publishing) and Arran and Galloway (both written with Tony Bonning, Cauldron Press Ltd).
