Donny Cates is the ageless and endearing writer and creator of Dark Horse Comics' Hunter Quaid, Buzzkill, The Ghost Fleet, and The Paybacks. He was named Best Graphic Novelist by The Austin Chronicle in 2014, and he has managed to elude arrest for hundreds of years. He's recently worked on comics like Secret Wars and Archer & Armstrong for Valiant and Marvel Comics. The author resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and cat, where he enjoys hiding from the light. He almost certainly isn't a vampire.
