The walks range in length from 3 to 16km (2–10 miles) and can be enjoyed in 1–5 hours, perfect for either a short stroll or a longer day. Clear step-by-step route description illustrated with sketch mapping Sized to easily fit in a jacket pocket Information on refreshments, parking and toilets for each walk Local points of interest and historic buildings Suggestions for longer linear routes
Brian Evans began walking in Silverdale with his parents in the 1940s, while living in nearby Morecambe. He has also trekked, climbed, skied, caved, canoed and, more recently, mountain biked all over the world but always enjoys returning to enjoy the landscapes and wildlife of Silverdale. He lives near Preston with his wife Aileen, his companion on most of the adventures.
