This work deals with the Gospel according to the Church of Stop Shopping- a manifesto for activists and fans of 'No Logo' and 'Culture Jam' and the hilarious companion to the new documentary by Super Size Me film-maker Morgan Spurlock. Founded by performance artist and activist Bill Talen (aka Reverend Billy), the Church of Stop Shopping is on a mission to protest against the modern culture of commercialization and consumption that leads to environmental devastation, social iniquity and other dangers both measurable and immeasurable. It includes many other wonderful pieces that will entertain, convince, convert, and give readers actions they can take to become a member (even an occasionally backsliding one) of the Church of Stop Shopping.
