Willful Virgin by Marilyn Frye

George J. Heideman has lived for more than 100 years in a nation that is only 237 years old. In this book, he directly confronts our huge fiscal crisis, mounting debt and the devastation of the private sector by an out-of-control government. He identifies the root cause of all this, the now-routine violations of the Constitution by judges and the regulatory bureaucracy. History is frequently varied in its telling, often more interesting and illuminating. Heideman does it for us. He grew up on a farm in Illinois, and his family was the second to own this property since President Polk signed the deed in 1847. Since his birth in 1912, he has seen much of the history of this nation unfold. He had an active and successful academic, professional and business career, and never retired. Most importantly, he shows us a way out of our present mess. His prescription is privatization of welfare state programs to restore economic sanity - and our individual liberty.
