Although different creep test methodologies have been developed in recent years, the absence of a standardised creep methodology hindered general comparisons. Therefore, the RILEM TC 261-CCF launched an ambitious international RRT program to improve the knowledge on long-term behaviour of cracked sections of FRC and assess all the different testing methodologies, assuming the big variability of testing criteria among the scientific community. The participation of 19 laboratories across 20 institutions in 14 countries all over the world enabled the realisation of the largest experimental campaign on creep in the cracked state. As a result of the RRT, an extensive database of creep test results was created containing comprehensive information from 124 cracked FRC specimens tested using different creep testing procedures in agreed conditions. The book will benefit academics and practitioners interested in the long-term behaviour of FRC since it served as basis for the recently published RILEM Recommendation on creep testing procedure and represents the current knowledge on creep in cracked FRC specimens.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ VERY_GOOD \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":49630166679825,"sku":"GOR012759147","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52452079534353,"sku":"NLS9783030727383","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/3030727386.jpg?v=1751095071"},{"product_id":"modelling-of-concrete-behaviour-at-high-temperature-book-alain-millard-9783030119942","title":"Modelling of Concrete Behaviour at High Temperature","description":"This book presents the work done by the RILEM Technical Committee 227-HPB (Physical properties and behaviour of High-Performance Concrete at high temperature). It contains the latest research results on the modelling of concrete behaviour at high temperature. Some monographs on the subject have been published already but generally they do not cover the whole range of possibilities which are encountered in the literature as well as in practice. Moreover, there has been a rapidly increasing development of computational models during the last twenty years, which deserves attention. Therefore, it is the aim of this report to compile and present most of the tools that are proposed in the literature and are nowadays available for practice in some commercial computational packages.         The book is divided in 3 main chapters dealing with: -              engineering modelling -              advanced modelling -              constitutive parameters including hydral, thermal and mechanical parameters.         The results presented especially target a group of users composed by universities and research laboratories, building material companies and industries, material scientists and experts, building and infrastructure authorities, designers and civil engineers.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":50464208912657,"sku":"NGR9783030119942","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/3030119947.jpg?v=1751126919"},{"product_id":"measuring-rheological-properties-of-cement-based-materials-book-mohammed-sonebi-9783031367427","title":"Measuring Rheological Properties of Cement-based Materials","description":"This book presents the work of the RILEM TC 266-MRP, whose purpose was to enhance the reliability of rheological measurements performed on cement-based materials. Properties and performance of building materials and structures are influenced to a large extent by the moisture conditions in the materials. Obvious examples are heat conductivity, shrinkage and creep, transport properties, most types of deterioration, discoloration etc. For research and applications the moisture conditions must be quantified, by measurements in the laboratory or under field conditions. There is much variation in methods being used, even within the same topic,  in different countries, both with regard to materials and to applications. No consensus whatsoever does exist. For the construction industry it is important to be able to quantify the moisture conditions in an accurate way in various applications. The increased resistance is achieved through effective crack bridging by fibres, across multiple cracks of widths in the micro-range. Whether these small crack widths are maintained under sustained, cyclic or other load paths, and whether the crack width limitation translates into durability through retardation of ingress of moisture, gas and other deleterious matter, are scrutinized in this book by evaluation of test results from several laboratories internationally. The durability of SHCC under mechanical, chemical, thermal and combined actions is considered, both for the composite and the fibre types typically used in SHCC. Failure in materials is often caused by the occurrence of small microcracks throughout the material. In self-healing materials phenomena are triggered to counteract these microcracks. These processes are ideally triggered by the occurrence of damage itself. Thus far, the self-healing capacity of cement-based materials has been considered as something \"extra\". This could be called passive self-healing, since it was not a designed feature of the material, but an inherent property of it. Centuries-old buildings have been said to have survived these centuries because of the inherent self-healing capacity of the binders used for cementing building blocks together. In this State-of-the-Art Report a closer look is taken at self-healing phenomena in cement-based materials. It is shown what options are available to design for this effect rather than have it occur as a \"coincidental extra\".","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52431608709393,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52431609331985,"sku":"NLS9789400766235","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9789400766235.jpg?v=1759173013"},{"product_id":"strain-hardening-cement-composites-structural-design-and-performance-book-keitetsu-rokugo-9789400748354","title":"Strain Hardening Cement Composites: Structural Design and Performance","description":"Strain Hardening Cement Composites, SHCC hereafter, demonstrate excellent mechanical behavior showing tensile strain hardening and multiple fine cracks. Through meticulous cross-testing, the fundamental physical processes are better understood. The second section addresses the low-temperature performance of bituminous mixtures, exploring important behaviour regarding the longevity and resilience of bituminous pavements. The use of innovative methodologies, particularly the restrained shrinkage test exploited using a three-dimensional perspective, enriches the understanding regarding the mechanical behaviour at cold temperatures. The third section delves into dynamic interlayer shear testing, providing a comprehensive guide to evaluate the bonding behaviour of bituminous interlayers under cyclic loadings. By considering the multiphase nature of road materials and structures, the book not only fills gaps in existing knowledge but also lays the foundation for the development of more durable materials. Its emphasis on a performance-driven and internationally validated approach makes it a reference tool for those contributing to the advancement of sustainable materials in the field of bituminous material engineering.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"- \/ - \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":52500834943249,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":52500835467537,"sku":"NGR9783031880087","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9783031880087.jpg?v=1760139023"},{"product_id":"round-robin-test-on-creep-behaviour-in-cracked-sections-of-frc-experimental-prog-book-aitor-llano-torre-9783030727352","title":"Round-Robin Test on Creep Behaviour in Cracked Sections of FRC: Experimental Program, Results and Database Analysis","description":"The book presents the work of the RILEM Technical Committee 261-CCF, which organized the challenging International Round Robin Test (RRT) on the creep behaviour of Fibre Reinforce Concrete (FRC) cracked specimens. The book will benefit academics and practitioners interested in the long-term behaviour of FRC since it served as basis for the recently published RILEM Recommendation on creep testing procedure and represents the current knowledge on creep in cracked FRC specimens.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52532196278545,"sku":"NLS9783030727352","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9783030727352.jpg?v=1760659846"},{"product_id":"bio-aggregates-based-building-materials-book-sofiane-amziane-9789402414707","title":"Bio-aggregates Based Building Materials","description":"The work of the RILEM Technical Committee (TC -236 BBM) was dedicated to the study of construction materials made from plant particles. It considered the question whether building materials containing as main raw material recyclable and easily available plant particles are renewable. This book includes a state-of-the-art report and an appendix. The state-of-the-art report relates to the description of vegetal aggregates. Then, hygrothermal properties, fire resistance, durability and finally the impact of the variability of the method of production of bio-based concrete are assessed. The appendix is a TC report which presents the experience of a working group. The goal was to define testing methods for the measurement of water absorption, bulk density, particle size distribution, and thermal conductivity of bio aggregates. The work is based on a first round robin test of the TC-BBM where the protocols in use by the different laboratories (labs) are compared.  p\u0026gt;","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52532339704081,"sku":"NLS9789402414707","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9789402414707.jpg?v=1760660461"},{"product_id":"advances-in-interlaboratory-testing-and-evaluation-of-bituminous-materials-book-manfred-n-partl-9789402406443","title":"Advances in Interlaboratory Testing and Evaluation of Bituminous Materials","description":"This STAR on asphalt materials presents the achievements of RILEM TC 206 ATB, acquired over many years of interlaboratory tests and international knowledge exchange.
