Duncan Cairns, supremely organised Account Director for the chaotic, stuck-in-the-seventies advertising firm of Clancey & Bennett, is so contented with his matt black office equipment and his company BMW that he's never really thought of doing anything else. Douglas Chirnside grew up in Scotland and read English at St Andrew's University. He worked in advertising on many different accounts before becoming an independent television producer. He lives in Chiswick and the Cotswolds.
