With its mixture of surreal humour, verbal games, parody and double entendre, the show pushed the boundaries of comedy at a time when permissiveness was changing society's values.The Best of Round the Horne features 20 classic scripts, chosen by series co-writer Barry Took. Most of them are being published for the first time, along with exclusive material which was cut before broadcast.
