The Best Present by Colin Kenward

It's Christmas Day! Rose, the youngest of three, is the last one to open her present. She sees her older brother, James, unwrap a noisy, fast racing car which looks super fun, and her older sister, Mary, finds out she has a lovely doll that walks and talks! Excited, Rose unwraps her present to find a sweet-looking teddy bear. Sweet, but he doesn't walk or talk or race or make noises or anything! But as the day moves on, Rose comes to realise that her teddy bear may actually be the best present of them all... With the best of traditional values, The Best Present is beautifully illustrated for ages 3 - 6 years. It will also encourage young readers' imaginations, as well as their art skills, with the colouring section at the back of the book! A delightful book to have at Christmas and throughout the year.
Colin Kenward was born and educated in East Sussex and, now retired, still lives there with his wife, Elaine (the book’s illustrator). They have two daughters and five lovely grandchildren who have given endless inspiration and happiness over the years. With fond memories of books from their own childhoods, they set out to produce their own modern version of a traditional picture book.
