BING by Ted Dewan

Bing Bunny is a lovable, feisty new pre-school character, created by Kate Greenaway-shortlisted illustrator Ted Dewan. Bing takes on pre-school challenges such as getting dressed, eating breakfast and going to the park in his own inimitable style. He is a modern pre-schooler and, in Ted Dewan's exciting new artwork style, has a freshness and friendliness that is both appealing and different from anything else on the market. Bing and Flop try some new food - but Bing doesn't like anything. That is, unless it has fallen on the floor. Then it becomes his favourite food ever-. Don't worry, Bing,It's no big thing-It's a Bing Thing!
TED DEWAN been an illustrator and cartoonist since 1988, and his work regularly appears in the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times, TES and Guardian. He won the coveted Mother Goose Award for his first children's picture book in 1992, Inside the Whale. Subsequent picture books include The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Top Secret. He has also illustrated children's and adult non-fiction. His first book for the Doubleday list was The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which was short-listed for the Kurt Maschler Award. He lives in Oxford with his wife, artist and Kate Greenaway Medal-winner, Helen Cooper, and their daughter. Award News: CRISPIN, THE PIG WHO HAD IT ALL has been shortlisted for The Kate Greenaway Medal - one of the most prestigious awards for children's illustration. The judging panel have this to say about the book: "The bold, exuberant illustrations catch the reader's eye first, and then closer examination shows just how every page is crammed with extraordinary detail. Dewan's clever use of layout, colour and perspective emphasise the different moods of the story creating a sense of space, action or surprise. This story contrasts the emptiness of materialism with the warmth of friendship as it follows Crispin's heartwarming journey to understanding."
