When Vanessa Grassick dies in a gas explosion, Tam Buchanan wishes he were anywhere but in Edinburgh. His law firm is executor of Vanessa's will and this case is promising serious trouble. She lives in Edinburgh and her interests include hillwalking and garden design. She is married with two grown-up children.
