Bal Speer has been married for nearly 20 fun-packed years and has two great children. He lives in a village in Wiltshire, England, and lectures part-time in Narrative and Sequential Art. He has been a freelance illustrator for 12 years. Before that he worked in animation, where he met Moebius, who informed him that there was no future in graphic novels and who consistently beat him at table tennis. He has a passion for music, books, films, photography, occulture, pubs, camping, Guernsey jumpers, psychology and beer.
