The sleepy town of Heartsdale, Georgia, is jolted into panic when Sara Linton, pediatrician and medical examiner, finds Sibyl Adams, a young college professor, dead in the local diner. Karin Slaughter grew up in a small south Georgia town and has been writing short stories and novels since she was a child. A commercial signmaker by trade, Slaughter recently sold her business to concentrate on her writing career. She currently resides in Atlanta where she finished Blindsighted, her first novel, and she is working on the follow-up, Kisscut.
