Miles Marshall Lewis is a pop culture critic, essayist, literary editor, novelist, and music journalist from the United States. Scars of the Soul Are Why Youngsters Wear Bandages When They Don't Wear Bruises is his memoir, and There's a Riot Going On is his book about Sly & the Family Stone's music. He was also the creator and editor of the literary journal Bronx Biannual. Lewis, his wife, and their two sons currently reside in New York City.
