Brother by Elliott Hudson

Brother is the actual journal of a teenage boy during his senior year of high school. The boy, Elliott Hudson, suffers from major depression, manic depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, borderline personality disorder, and several other problems. As Elliott's symptoms continue to increase, he starts abusing alcohol, hard drugs, and even himself, among other things. Before long, Elliott's once promising life has crumbled to pieces, and he enters a very suicidal state. This book is very inspirational. One of the best books that I have ever read. Thank you for sharing your experiences Elliott - combs30 This journal is much more than the actual journal of a teenage boy during his senior year of high school . suffering from major depression, OCD and many other problems . abusing alcohol and hard drugs, among other things. It truly throws the reader into Hudson's head and allows his thoughts to become real and somewhat experienceable. I read the whole journal in an hour and a half. Hudson's heart-wrenching story deserves to be read because of the way he turns out in the end. Not only does his outlook on life change, but his insights become engaging. His story is an emotional roller-coaster and a must-read. - ckasun
