SCOTT BEATTY has worked for numerous graphic novel publishers chronicling the adventures of literature's greatest heroes. His many notable comics credits include Batgirl Year One, Batman: Gotham Knights, Number of the Beast and GEN13 for DC Comics, as well as critically acclaimed updates of pulp fiction icons The Phantom and Buck Rogers for Dynamite Entertainment, which also published the graphic adaptation of Sherlock Holmes: Year One. Scott has also written nearly a dozen encyclopedic Ultimate Guides devoted to popular superheroes, in addition to Quirk Books' best-selling The Batman Handbook, a literal how to manual for aspiring Dark Knight Detectives and other intrepid sleuths. He lives and writes in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
