WILLIAM GURNALL (1616-1679) was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, England, a university under strong Puritan influence. His life's work was as pastor of the Church of Christ, in Suffolk. He authored The Christian in Complete Armour: Daily Readings in Spiritual Warfare.
JAMES S. BELL, JR. (B.A., Holy Cross College; M.A. University College, Dublin) is the owner of Whitestone Communications, a literary development agency. He previously served as executive editor at Moody Press (now Moody Publishers), director of religious publishing at Doubleday, and publisher at Bridge Publishing. James is the author of six books, including The Complete Idiot s Guide to the Bible, and has received cover credit for his work on more than 15 others. He currently lives in West Chicago with his wife, Margaret, and their four children.
