The author

Helmut Schaaf, MD, worked as a specialist in anesthesiology before he himself became ill with Mü¾Ž–”¼niü¾Ž†”¼re's disease. He therefore had to give up his original occupation. Since 1994 he is a senior physician in a neurotological specialized clinic in Bad Arolsen, now at the Tinnitus Clinic Dr. Hesse (Hessen/Germany). He has written several books and scientific articles on the topics of Mü¾Ž–”¼niü¾Ž†”¼re's disease, vertigo, tinnitus and hyperacusis.
