This illustrated cookbook contains ideas for relaxed weekend cooking and entertaining from one of Britain's well-known chefs. 120 recipes may help the weekend cook prepare original, but easy meals from Friday night suppers, late breakfasts/brunches, picnics, barbeques, tea in the garden and midnight larder raids (a speciality of the author) through to Sunday lunches. The book contains photographs of Brantlea - the author's home, and the surrounding Lake District countryside. John Tovey is the proprietor of the Miller Howe Hotel, Windermere, in the Lake District, which is known for the quality of its food and wines. He is the author of several cookery books.
John Tovey was matched with a guide dog called Dez after losing his sight at age 42. John and Dez are both active fundraisers for Guide Dogs and to date, have raised thousands for the charity.
