Karantonis, James: - James C. Karantonis is a writer and performer appearing numerous times on the successful Stoop Storytelling series out of Baltimore MD. His true stories have been broadcast on Baltimore's public radio station WYPR. Jim served as a psychiatric specialist during the Vietnam War. After the war he went on to a civil rights career. He directed the Washington Office for the first Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday working closely with Coretta Scott King. He founded Human Relations and Communications, Inc. and as a presenter Jim delivered Entertainment with a message. Jim has published numerous short stories. His first short story: A Crazy 8's Christmas won the Spotlight Award from New York's Slice Magazine.
