Robert Greenfield is the author of Exile on Main St.: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones, Timothy Leary: A Biography, Dark Star: An Oral Biography of Jerry Garcia, S.T.P.: A Journey Through America with the Rolling Stones, as well as two novels and a forthcoming biography of Ahmet Ertegun. With Bill Graham, he is the coauthor of Bill Graham Presents: My Life Inside Rock and Out, which won both the Ralph J. Gleason Award and the ASCAP-Deems Taylor awards for excellence in music writing. An award-winning novelist, playwright, screenwriter, and journalist, he lives in California.
