Jerry Murland is a retired Coventry Head Teacher who now works as an Education Consultant with local authorities in England and Wales. Before becoming a teacher he served in the Parachute Regiment and worked as a mountain instructor in outdoor centres in Wales. As an accredited Level 4 UK Athletics Performance Coach he has coached international athletes and was on the Great Britain coaching staff at the Atlanta. Paralympic Games in 1996. He is a member of the Alpine Club and Western Front Association.
