Magee, Heather: - Heather Magee, Author, Wife, Mom, Speaker, Co-Pastor, and Counselor, who inspires and encourages women and men through her life of faith amid two diagnoses of cancer. During her 40 years in ministry with her husband Len, Heather has written, produced and ministered songs for worship, healing, and restoration in the Body of Christ. Through Heather's gift of music, lives have been touched and forever changed, for the glory of God. Heather was born in England and studied to become a teacher. It was during her final year at teachers training college that she met Len Magee, well-known as one of Britain's most loved gospel singers. As soon as her studies were over, they were married. Four years later she emigrated to Australia with her husband, where they have lived for 36 years. Heather's challenges have not only involved her experience with cancer. She had cared for her husband when he suffered a major stroke 16 years ago, and now she currently cares for her son who is severely ill with undiagnosable and untreatable types of multiple daily seizures. She has seen her husband miraculously restored but as yet has not seen her son healed. She is currently patiently enduring through sorrow that has few words! However, Heather's heart has reached far beyond her church and behind the closed doors of her home. Her journey has also taken her across the oceans to the Philippines to help care for desperately impoverished children, living on the rubbish dumps of Cebu; starting schools amongst the tombs, feeding the poor in the streets and providing fold-up beds to the homeless. Heather writes about suffering from her years of experience, both in the pastoral ministry and in her own life. Her faith in God communicates hope to the hopeless, light in the darkness, and joy in the midst of extreme sorrow.
