Fredman provides an introduction to discrimination law which is accessible, yet challenging and thought provoking. The concepts of equality and anti-discrimination law are introduced drawing on a wide variety of philosophical and legal sources, using comparative materials as appropriate and relating the law to its social and historical context.

Sandra Fredman is a Fellow and Tutor in Law at Exeter College, Oxford. She is the co-author of two books on labour law (see below), and lectures on labour law, and on women and the law.
