Along the way, he met Carrie Richards of Ada, Michigan, and persuaded her to swap her harsh winters for hot summers by joining him on the South Carolina coast. David is the minister of Orlando Presbyterian Church (orlandopres.org) in Orlando, Florida, where they live outside.
