Eventing by Jo Winfield
This book aims to guide the reader through preparing for and competing at their first event. Advice is given on making a critical assessment for a horse, and evaluating its strengths and weaknesses as a potential event horse. The book covers how to build on what your horse is naturally capable of achieving, with a view to putting together a suitable training plan for all phases of eventing.
Jo Winfield started riding at the age of nine as a keen member of the Pony Club. Jo pass the BHS Insructors exam in 1993 and went on to teach at Hartpury College while achieving her BSc (Hons) in Equine Science, and later her Masters in Coaching Science. Jo is a General Fellow of the British Horse Society, a British Accredited Coach and a British Dressage Accredited Trainer and Judge, as well as Chair of the BHS Qualification and Training Committee.
