The Fabulous Phartlehorn Affair by M L Peel

A hilarious fantastical romp from a talented debut author.
There are several pretenders to the throne of Roald Dahl - writers such as Andy Stanton and David Walliams have brought us tales brimming with strangeness, humour and imagination, in her first book, ML. Peel proves she can stand amongst them... This engaging, evocative read has a flotilla of vivid characters and daft ideas - and it's not as crude as you might expect. We Love This Book Full of daft humour and funny characters, it will particularly appeal to boys. Booktrust very amusing with a valuable lesson -- (10 year old reviewer) Selvedge
After graduating from Oxford with a first-class degree in English, Megan Peel worked in advertising for ten years, where she was involved in a variety of projects that included an anti-knife-crime campaign for the Home Office, working alongside young people involved in gang violence. Megan has wanted to be a writer ever since she read Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes as a child, and after attending a children’s writing course in 2008 she decided to quit her job to write full time. Megan lives in Yorkshire with her husband and two cats; this is her first novel.
