Gabrielle Filteau-Chiba is a writer and environmental activist from Québec. In the winter of 2013, she left her job, home and family in Montreal, sold all her worldly belongings and moved into a wooden cabin in the remote Kamouraska region. Feral is her second novel. David Homel is a literary translator and an author. He has twice won the Governor General's Literary Award for Translation.
