Fun Under the Sun by Erin Johnson

Fun Under the Sun makes learning to read easy This collection of 10 fun stories uses the SoundBlends(TM) unique blended-phonics program to nurture your beginning or struggling reader:
  1. See the Letters and Say the sound.
  2. Blend sounds to say words.
  3. Read the stories
Fun Under the Sun continues the reading journey with more complex Vowel Sounds and medium length stories to build the young reader's confidence and skills. Each story gradually introduces new sounds and slowly increases in length to seamlessly grow your reader's blossoming skills. Special fonts are used to make decoding intuitive and simple. Sight words are minimized without confusing reading strategies.

The complete SoundBlends series (Fox and His Pals, Fun Under the Sun and Quest and Dreams) launches independent readers of Chapter Books.

Reading real stories makes learning fun and rewarding

Erin Johnson grew up with her father watching classic western movies, which fostered her lifelong passion for horseback riding. She'd always wanted to be a sassy cowgirl, but writing about one seemed like a good substitute. She lives in North Carolina and enjoys traveling, drawing, riding motorcycles, and teaching.
