Michael W. Apple is the John Bascom Professor of Education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Among his many books are Ideology and Curriculum, Education and Power, Teachers and Texts, Official Knowledge, Power, Meaning, and Identity, and most recently, Educating the "Right" Way.
