David Wondrich is regarded as one of the world's finest authority on the history of cocktails. He has written for various magazines on the issue, including the New York Times, Saveur, Real Simple, and Cocktails. He is a contributing editor at Esquire and Wine and Spirits. Dr. Wondrich is a Ph.D. holder. He is a founding member of The Museum of the American Cocktail and a partner in Beverage Alcohol Resource, the world's first advanced education program in spirits and cocktails, and holds a Ph.D. in comparative literature. He and his wife and daughter live in Brooklyn, New York.
