David E. 0 false false false false false false false false false false false false false false false false false false false false Bock spent 35 years as a math teacher at Ithaca High School. He has taught statistics at Ithaca High School, Tompkins-Cortland Community College, Cornell University, and Tompkins-Cortland Community College. Dave has twice received the MAA's Edyth May Sliffe Award for Excellent High School Mathematics Teaching, three times received Cornell University's Outstanding Educator Award, and has been a nominee for New York State Teacher of the Year. David has a B.A. in Mathematics and a M.S. in Statistics/Education from the University of Albany.
Dave has worked as an AP Statistics reader and table leader, as well as advising the College Board on statistics and leading workshops and institutes for AP Statistics teachers. He also worked at Cornell University as a senior lecturer in the Mathematics Department and as a K-12 Education and Outreach Coordinator. Dave and his wife like to unwind by biking or hiking, and when they're not around Ithaca, they can often be found in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. They have four grandchildren as well as a son and a daughter.
