The Misadventures of Benjamin Bartholomew Piff: You Wish (Book 1) by Lethcoe Jason
The title reflects the complete frustration of progressive voters who find Trump's presidency devastating to our country. The rhymes hardly qualify as poetry. They are just rhyming stuff that make great reading to vent by, short pointed jabs at many political figures and policies. Many are reminiscent of the old Burma-Shave progressive roadside signage, Such as Obsessing over bathrooms Is his bad habit. But that's just Greg, Our Governor Abbott. Or Trump's money Must be very clean. It's been laundered enough, Or so it would seem. Or Get to work. Elect O'Rourke. If you snooze, We'll get Ted Cruz. Unlike a novel or biography, Venting Made Easy makes sense even if you read just one page at a time. It's a great book to have on hand while watching the news. If you don't want to read it, you can throw it at the TV when things are particularly maddening.
Jason Lethcoe is the author and illustrator of several books, including the Zoom's Academy series. Prior to writing and illustrating books, Mr. Lethcoe worked for seventeen years in the Hollywood animation industry as a storyboard artist for several studios, including Walt Disney Feature Animation and Sony Pictures.
He does most of his writing on his 30-foot sail boat called The Moon and lives in California with his wife and his three kids. There are rumors that he is affiliated with a mysterious society of adventurers called the Brotherhood of Thaumaturgic Cartographers, but he refuses to elaborate on his involvement for fear of divulging their secrets.
