Michael Jacobs is Director of the Psychotherapy and Counselling programme at the University of Leicester, Department of Adult Education, where he has been since 1984. He is well known for his publications in this field, and many of his books have become key texts in counselling training throughout Britain. He is married to Moira Walker, with whom he co-edits In Search of a Therapist published by Open University Press and the Counselling in Context series.
