A legend and a star are born this day Set in the hot summer days with Tanner doing what he liked best, catching creatures down by his family's farm pond in the Midwest. He brings home the largest toad and successfully convinces his unenthusiastic father to keep it as his pet. The toad remains quiet and sad for several days to his disappointment but on the fourth day the toad responds to Tanner. He actually answered Tanner's questions All of them He proceeds to tell him all about his mystical world under the lake in Magic Ville, helping his mom sell barbecue crickets and butter worms at the family grocery store.Tommy Toad even attendsa safety school which was started after Cameron and Candy Cottonmouth almost wiped out the creatures of Magic Ville in 1976. The adventure continues as Tanner takes Tommy Toad back to see his family and to see his pet Betty Beetle. The underwater world was amazing as he peered below from his boat . He will never forget the tales he heard according to Tommy Toad or what he saw on that hot magical summer day. The only thing he has to show for this day was a bag of barbecue crickets
