‘Professor Pilgrim in this 4th edition of his book on key concepts in mental health has one again delivered on his promise.  These are really important and significant issues that affect mental health service users, carers and health and social care professionals and practitioners.  At no time does the book minimise the significance nor complexity associated with these themes. These are issues that affect people directly and this book offers readers with a clear and balanced perspective.  It remains the key introductory text and one I am very pleased to recommend to students and others.’

-- Ian McGonagle
