The Kingfisher Pop-up Theatre by David Wood
This adaption of "Cinderella" consists of a pop-up theatre-stage with curtain, four scene changes, two stage effects and an audience. A backstage prop-box contains the characters and props, and a pocket in front of the audience holds a book containing the playscript in humorous verse. The stage effects, in which the pumpkin turns into a coach, a clock swings out to reveal midnight, and Cinderella descends stairs to try on the slipper, are worked into the production.
