The Editors: Peter Hutchinson is Reader in Modern German Studies in the University of Cambridge and Vice-Master of Trinity Hall. He is the author of Stefan Heym: The Perpetual Dissident (1992) and has published widely on aspects of East German literature as well as earlier German poetry and fiction.
Reinhard K. Zachau is Professor of German at the University of the South (Sewanee), USA, and wrote the first monograph on Stefan Heym (1982). He has published several books on modern German literature, including volumes on Bü¾¦˜¼ll, Fallada, and Koeppen.
